In this challenging role, you will support the Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Product and Sales Operations team to define and specify HDT products together with dealers to deliver a consistent HDT product pipeline to our customers.The role:Based at our head office in Mulgrave and reporting to the Manager – HDT Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide accurate, timely and reliable factory order management and administrative support to HDT products.
  • Manage truck sales orders, specification and price changes through factory systems, SAP and customer front end systems.
  • Ensure precise documentation and management of all truck sales orders, changes orders, and related ordering details.
  • Maintain Master Data management and develop specifications for smooth integration into ordering and processing systems.
  • Track factory build changes through daily reports to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Oversee ordering process lead times and follow up on delayed vehicles due to production or shipping schedule changes.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle and wholesale processing guidelines.
  • Provide support for sales operations across the complete sales planning, vehicle ordering, and logistics process.
  • Assist Sales and Aftersales teams with vehicle specification and stock management.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between engineering, product, and sales operations teams.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in DAG & DTNA to secure production quotas and fulfill special customer requirements.

Who we are looking for:To be the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, driven and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be highly organised, can lead from example and have strong attention to detail. Your excellent collaboration skills both within your team and with other departments are essential, as you will be working closely with Sales, Engineering and Product teams to ensure accurate specifications, pricing and compliance.
Ideally, the candidate will have wholesale dealer management experience along with commercial vehicle knowledge and sales/manufacturing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project is required along with knowledge of MD+ and SAP.
