About the roleGovernment client seeks an experienced Change Manager to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 4 months based in Melbourne CBD with an immediate start.As the Change Manager, you will support the delivery of change management activities relating to business improvements. You will analyse the impact of proposed changes, identifying potential risks and developing plans to support the smooth implementation of new polices, processes and systems. You will ensure that changes are introduced in a planned, measured and controlled way with a focus on stakeholder engagement, effective communication and user-centric delivery.Key responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted change management support including stakeholder analysis and engagement, capability development, communications, change readiness assessment, and other change related activities.
- Conduct change impact assessments to assess and identify the impact of procurement policy, process and system changes on business units, stakeholders and end users.
- Develop tailored change support and communications plans including identification of learning and development needs, contributing to the coordination and delivery of related products and activities.
- Establish and sustain effective relationships with stakeholders, providing advice and support to the Procurement Branch and Leadership Team, stakeholders and departmental employees.
- Collaborate closely with the Program team to ensure change management activities are continuously aligned to project delivery activities and responsive to changes.
- Contribute to the identification and management of change risks, resistance and/or stakeholder concerns including risk treatment and management activities to support delivery of the Program.
Key Selection Criteria:The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
- Extensive experience as an organisational change professional, consulting with senior managers, internal and external stakeholders and staff at all levels of an organisation to provide pragmatic, lean solutions to complex business problems.
- Proven ability to plan organisational change management activities in relation to project initiation through to implementation.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to negotiate and broker realistic outcomes.
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual, written communication and presentation skills including the ability to tailor the message to the need and interests of the audience.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction; and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Department.
