About usNgamai Wilam is a newly built 12-bed residential eating disorder treatment facility in Armadale, set to open in May 2025. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian Government, this specialist statewide service will be managed by Alfred Health.The service will provide 24/7 trauma-informed, recovery-focused care for adults aged 18 and over, in a gender-inclusive, home-like therapeutic environment. With a strong focus on family and chosen supports, Ngamai Wilam is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes long-term recovery.About the roleAs a Ward Clerk, you will:

  • be responsible for the coordination of communication, patient services and clerical services within Ngamai Wilam as directed by the Nurse Manager.
  • be the first point of contact for participants, visitors and staff.
  • facilitate excellent customer service and be central to the efficient and effective running of the program.

About You

  • Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Email)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or clinical practice.
  • Understanding, knowledge or experience of eating disorders
  • Australian working rights.
  • Current Working with Children Check, and be willing to undergo a Background Check.

Desirable

  • Certificate II in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Formal training in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Experience/background in a health care setting.
  • Experience with Health Information systems (iPM, CMI, Cerner)
