IA comprises multiple teams that collectively support the bank to move at pace safely through our enterprise-wide lens and independence. The use of technology, data and automation are critical in driving innovation and supporting the functions of the bank. IA’s Technology and Data & Automation team is responsible for assessing how risks in relation to these key areas are managed.Role Location: Melbourne
Role Type: 12 month OpprtunityWhat will your day look like?This role is accountable for:
- Executing audit engagements in line with the annual Audit Plan;
- Reviewing specific business areas with a focus on technology, data and automation related processes;
- Assessing the adequacy and appropriateness of controls in place to manage and mitigate risk; and
- Working with management to develop sustainable solutions that enhance the control environment, better manage risk exposures, support the Bank’s strategic objectives and ensure customer and stakeholder interests are being safeguarded.
You will be required to work closely with colleagues across the global team, drawing on your excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. You will also have an important role in building capability across the Internal Audit function.What will you bring?
- Demonstratable experience in auditing IT controls with strong knowledge across some technology areas such as technology risk governance and management, application controls, IT service management, data and infrastructure security, cyber security operations, cryptography, identity and access management, software solution delivery and IT resilience;
- Strong track record of delivering high quality assurance work in technical areas. This includes working with multiple stakeholders, across geographies and with complex, sometimes ambiguous subject matter;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, drafting and communicating key audit messages and recommendations effectively;
- Excellent listening and interpreting capabilities;
- Awareness of approaches and techniques for analysing and interpreting data, with a focus on driving efficiency in audit execution;
- Track record in building, developing, and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders;
- Good negotiating, influencing and conflict management skills including supporting change and overcoming resistance to change;
- Willingness to take accountability for assigned tasks and see them through to completion; and
- Ability to forward plan for work and manage competing priorities.
