We work with major industrial, government, transport, mining, resources, and utilities across Australia and New Zealand.With this opportunity as the Technical Services Manager, you will manage and lead an established team of technician’s working in both the CSE workshop and clients onsite. You will be hands on in creating and establishing work patterns and best practice service methods focusing on client satisfaction and customer service, while ensuring that your team is working efficiently, effectively and developing their skills as we evolve as a business. You will have strong business acumen and give direction to how the Service Team operates, covering financial elements, HSEQ, SLA’s & KPI’s, governance and compliance, and continuous improvement, while being a key member of the Melbourne branch management team sharing your insights.Responsibilities will include:
- Foster teamwork, and facilitating a positive environment (Toolbox talks, performance reviews, coaching, and identify training opportunities).
- Work in hand with Operations for all scheduling and solutions deliveries
- Manage utilisation of employees and resources for service delivery
- Take ownership of maintenance, including managing completion of maintenance and customer technical records ensuring compliance to contracted requirements and licence agreements.
- Manage and report on Technical Services operating costs
- Oversee vendor quality, ensuring all manufactured products meet the requirements and technical specifications needed.
- Be proactive in HSEQ, from reporting, compliance and improvement of processes.
- Ensure governance to CSE policies and procedures
- Actively seek continuous improvement opportunities
- Work with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a Service Management role, overseeing end to end from people management, cost management, customer service and reporting
- Formal and hands on leadership experience, with a medium to large team in a technical setting
- Exposure to contract development and management
- Tertiary qualifications, Trades Certification or applied experience in a technical field.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal with an elevated level of attention to detail.
- A proven track record in leadership, with a history of developing and growing a cohesive service orientated team.
- Strong ability to identify and action areas of improvement
- An analytical and strategic thinker
- Excellent financial acumen with previous experience in understanding financial aspects of a service-based business.
- A collaborative and positive attitude, with a willingness to adopt and promote CSE values both internally and to clients.
