Join us as we reimagine services using the latest platforms and technology, to better support our customers’ financial wellbeing.About the RoleIn this role your mission is to help design a modern digital cloud native agile banking platform by playing a critical hands on role in the solution design and delivery. Your purpose will be to help bring to life a new digital homeloan proposition. We are building from the ground up, strategically using SaaS when required and building on the Google Cloud Platform. You will design, proof of concept and help deliver cloud architectures to meet the Buy and Own a Home tribe’s proposition goals.What will your day look like?
- Understand business strategy and architecture needs, define innovative & sustainable solution designs that enable incremental and continuous delivery of business value through Epics to Features
- Use your understanding of the end to end architecture to design solutions that leverage existing banking services where possible
- Design solutions using an API first approach to build a library of reusable banking services
- Help the bank build reactive systems using event mesh
- Work with delivery squads ensuring the adherence to the solution design standards while a acting as a mentor to ensure consistent approaches to use of design patterns and standards are adopted
What will you bring?
- Principal Engineer or Application architect with experience designing and implementing cloud native applications
- Working knowledge of public cloud offerings and architecture, AWS, GCP or Azure
- Understanding of basic workflow design patterns is highly desirable
- Strong API design and understanding of event driven architecture patterns is highly desirable
- Strong communicator, being able to bridge non-technical and technical
- Big picture thinker and a willingness to accept and adapt ideas from various sources to ensure a holistic approach
- Ability to strike a balance between technical features and compliance requirements
- Experienced engineers looking to take the next step in their career and do solution design are encouraged to apply.
