About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and empathetic individual to step into the role of Student Success Advisor at Melbourne Online. You will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding students through their academic journey, offering tailored assistance and advocacy to help them thrive.You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and assist students in navigating university services and systems. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on student success and well-being while contributing to Melbourne Online’s innovative online education model.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive, high quality and holistic advice and tailored assistance regarding services and supports to students across the online student lifecycle.
  • Proactively engaging with students to establish academic and career goals, develop action plans and interventions through coaching, and identifying resources and support services to help them succeed.
  • Connecting students with appropriate campus resources and supports, as well as academic enrichment opportunities to enhance their learning experience and wellbeing, promoting student success.
  • Contributing to a positive, professional, and flexible work environment that fosters innovation, teamwork, high achievements, and job satisfaction. Including building and maintaining strong relationships across key areas and stakeholders.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Student Success Advisor with a genuine passion for supporting student success, and exceptional communication and organisational skills. Your ability to write clearly, collaborate effectively, and provide holistic support will be key to your success.You will also have:

  • Proven track record of delivering a range of student lifecycle services and success initiatives for students from a range of backgrounds
  • Experience in student advising
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with diverse student populations
  • Experience with CRM and student information systems, along with excellent organisational skills
  • Keen eye for process improvement and enhancing efficiencies.

This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
