About the Role
As Student Communications and Engagement Coordinator you will coordinate, develop and deliver effective communications across Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) internal student communications to support the Student Experience strategic plan.Reporting to the Head of Student Experience, you will collaborate closely with the Student Experience team and other faculty members and university stakeholders to proactively showcase the FEIT Student Experience ultimately positioning FEIT as a leading destination for engineering and information technology education.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and implementing internal student communications to support the Student Experience strategic plan taking into consideration the full current student journey, need and mindset of the student experience.
  • Producing FEIT Student Experience content, engagement and communication materials as required for use internal communications and event management
  • Coordinate and manage the ongoing creation, production of Eng&IT Express newsletter for current students

Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone with proven experience developing and managing relationships with a wide range of employers, industry and professional networks, community organisations and internal and external stakeholders. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels will be vital to the role.You will have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement, prioritise workload, and deliver creative solutions. You will work cooperatively within a team and take initiative to lead projects, as well as being self-motivated. Your organisational skills and capacity to handle multiple demands, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines will be essential to your success.You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification with subsequent work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training in a similar role in a tertiary environment
  • Expertise in the strategy, production, and promotion of targeted, engaging content for print, digital and social channels
  • Demonstrated reporting skills across social media, email, and campaign – and the ability to use this data to inform future strategies
  • Strong computer literacy skills with demonstrated information technology capabilities with a large range of software
