Job description: The Company:Our client is an award-winning and highly established home building company in Melbourne’s South East and due to continued growth into 2025 are now looking to hire an experienced volume home building construction supervisor to join their busy construction team in Melbourne’s busy South-Eastern suburbs.Examples of potential suburbs you might manage in the South-East include Cranbourne, Clyde, Langwarrin and Berwick. The company always aims to keep its site supervisors in areas as close to home as possible to reduce travel time and provide a better work-life balance.KDRB and greenfield experience is essential in this role.Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Manage several new home builds in construction concurrently.
  • Up to on average 12-15 houses in construction at any one time on average
  • A combination of mostly single and some double-storey homes
  • Allocate materials and trades to job sites.
  • Ensure timely construction of new homes within budget
  • Effectively communicates professionally with clients, trades and management.
  • New home construction is carried out safely and complies with company processes and procedures.
  • Inspecting completed projects to ensure a high standard of quality
  • Maintaining and updating company systems
  • Reporting to management regarding onsite activity
  • Negotiating with subcontractors and coordinating onsite works
  • Identifying and resolving problems throughout the construction process.

Role Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience as a Construction Site Supervisor within the volume home building industry.
  • Experienced with KDRB (Knockdown Rebuild) projects
  • Tertiary qualifications in building and construction
  • Trade background will be highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience within the construction sector with excellent building knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving
  • Team player
  • Excellent IT skills and computer literacy with construction-specific software packages.
  • Commitment to WHS principles and practices
