What you’ll do
- Ensure optimal DC operational performance across the key pillars of safety, service, people and value
- Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively to achieve team and DC objectives
- Build & nurture a high-performance team of (12+) team leaders, along with genuine coaching and mentoring
- Ensure that the team comply with safety policies, procedures and role responsibilities
- Use effective communication techniques to encourage open and honest communications and constant information flow
- Support implementation for continuous improvement of systems and our processes
- Review operational area performance and implement improvements to align with organisational strategy
- Promoting safety values and implementing safety, health, and environment policies and systems
What you’ll bring
- Operational leadership experience in ideally FMCG, Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Retail or Warehouse environment
- Proven people leadership skills, hands on approach, lead by example, drawing on your ability to engage and motivate others
- Organised approach with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines through continuous improvement and cross-functional working
- Achievements in service delivery, cost management, team leadership, quality and process
- Proficient in software such as the Microsoft and/or Google Suites
- Customer focussed, passionate and inclusive mindset
- Exposure to IR matters with experience in a unionised environment is highly advantageous
