- Lead and partner with Clients in developing sustainable, energy, GHG emissions and climate risk management strategies across direct client operations and their value chain.
- Lead the development and implementation of client sustainability strategies including facilitating executive/elected official level presentations and the analysis and benchmarking of performance to support organizational goal setting and implementation planning.
- Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary, or multi-workstream projects spanning various aspects of a client’s sustainability journey in a collaborative and effective manner. This can involve creating project plans, delegating tasks and deliverables to colleagues, and providing ultimate oversight, review and reporting of deliverables to ensure quality and appropriateness.
- Managing project delivery including analysis and benchmarking performance, strategy development, workshop design and facilitation, executive level presentations to support organizational goal setting and implementation planning.
- Develop environmental inventories and reporting on greenhouse gas (GHG), energy, waste, water and other through data analysis, emission factor development, methodology definition, data platform deployment (e.g., Resource Advisor) to support clients environmental reporting activities.
- Develop or recommend strategies, initiatives, and abatement models for informing the setting and achievement of corporate goals for GHG reduction, energy reduction, or green energy adoptions, including scenario modelling toward targets (e.g. SBTi, Net Zero, Climate Active, RE100).
- Engage supply chain and value chain to decarbonise and enhance sustainability performance including data quantification and transparency; and strategic collaboration and engagement in support of sustainability (e.g. Circular Economy) and carbon (e.g. Scope 3) outcomes.
As part of the team, you will also:
- Maintain and evolve a thought-leadership position including research, filter, warehouse and communicate emerging information, trends, risks and best practice relating to sustainability.
- Organize, inform and partner with multi-disciplinary teams within Schneider Electric to coordinate service and solutions development and delivery to optimise client delivery.
- Contribute to the coaching and development of both internal and external stakeholders including the development of training and capacity building materials.
About You
- 8+ years demonstrated relevant experience.
- Tertiary level qualifications in a related field including sustainability, business, finance, accounting, engineering, or environmental management.
- Proven track record in consulting environment; developing, managing, and executing client facing projects
- Expertise across sustainability strategy, climate risk, greenhouse gas management, operational and supply chain decarbonisation, and circularity.
- Knowledge of the following would be beneficial: International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmarks (GRESB) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
- Ability to plan and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt and reprioritize, as necessary.
- Strong organization problem-solving skills, paired with willingness to take ownership of tasks / problems.
- Strong aptitude for learning new and different topics.
- Analytical self-starter with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability of building successful relationships and ability to work well with a large network of internal colleagues.
- Ability to present to and work with people at C-level / Board / Executives
- High commitment to company vision, values, and excellent customer service.
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
