As a Senior Strategic Designer, you will be part of a small, flexible, and highly capable Strategy & Transformation team and play a crucial role in supporting the development of an integrated customer experience, & inform strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the bank’s competitive positioning.The Strategy and Transformation team oversees the development of the Customer Engagement Strategy for Retail and advises and facilitates development of the future vision, strategic initiatives, and blueprints for the division. The team also facilitates discussions, prepares materials for the Executive Leadership team including Retail Leadership Forums and the Board through collaborating on projects with key Customer Engagement stakeholders.The Senior Strategic Designer will aid in the development of the Customer Engagement Experience Strategy by inputting into the journey across all aspects of the customer and banker journey. This includes transforming pathways and bringing together insights into strategic recommendations that inform the overarching customer strategy to enhance customer experience across physical and digital channels.Role Type: 12 month opportunity, Full time
Role Location: Melbourne or SydneyAll applications require a submission of a condensed portfolio no larger than 5MB showcasing key projects you have scoped right through to delivery.What will your day look like?As a Senior Strategic Designer, your key accountabilities include:Presenting: Presenting insights and outcomes in a concise and articulate manner to a range of stakeholders including but not limited to Channel GM’s, Retail MD’s, Marketing & Digital Partners, ANZx, and Strategic Direction team.Project scoping: Lead the scoping and planning of design activities in the project, ensuring the design is applied appropriately and activities are set up for success.Strategic Design: Using design concepts, outcomes, and insights to inform strategic direction and business strategies.Design research: Drive the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative research to understand business, customer, and market needs and opportunities across all stages of the design process (test, learn and iterate).Collaboration: Work closely with Channel GMs, Product, Marketing and Digital partners, ANZx, Service Design Chapter. Suncorp integration team, and the Channel Strategy & Transformation team.Ideation: Strong experience in using collaborative ideation techniques to create and validate solutions.Stakeholder testing: Lead and conduct testing of prototypes with stakeholders. Capturing insights and feedback to inform marketing, comms, change management, business, and technical requirements.Design artefacts: Craft and deliver design artefacts that are high quality, consistent and coherent with alignment with our Design Strategy and Design System.Opportunity building: Proactively and periodically review market, customer, and ANZ landscape to understand and activate strategic opportunities.Accessibility: Proven understanding, knowledge and experience working with accessibility standards (i.e., WCAG 2.1) and how this can be applied.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:7+ years as an experienced multi-disciplinary designer with solid background across both digital and non-digital experiences.Ability to present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner to leaders within and outside of Customer Engagement including GM’s and MD’s.Confidence with a range of design software tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite) whilst being open and adaptive to current trends and technologies. Strong knowledge of Design Systems.Ability to use the Microsoft suite of tools to effectively understand data and research and communicate it in a highly effective manner to stakeholders and teams.Interest, understanding, and awareness of emerging technology and digital experiences.Excellent understanding of the financial services sector and how it relates to our customer sectors.Excellent stakeholder management, storytelling and influencing skills.Inspirational and empathetic leadership style with excellent communication skills.Coach and guide teams to apply a design led approach when developing proactive and reactive strategy.
