The RoleThe Senior Project Officer, Governance and Integrity, enables and supports the delivery of a range of sports programs and projects which focus on the building of a welcoming, inclusive, active, resilient and capable community sport and active recreation sector.The responsibilities of the Senior Project Officer will include:
- Lead the successful delivery of programs, projects and initiatives that support and advise sector organisations on governance and integrity issues.
- In collaboration with key stakeholders across the sport and active recreation sector, develop initiatives that support the sector in developing and implementing strong governance policies and processes, and/ or support the sector’s capability to appropriately manage integrity threats, for example, through education and awareness.
- Liaise with subject matter experts and policy makers nationally to develop and maintain best practice understanding of governance and integrity in the sport and active recreation sector, and learn from and contribute to national initiatives.
The TeamThe position of Senior Project Officer, Governance and Integrity forms a part of the Sport and Recreation Victoria branch within the Sport and Experience Economy group.Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) and Tourism and Events (T&E). SRV aims to create greater sport and active recreation participation opportunities for all Victorians in order to maximise economic, social and health benefits and enhance Victoria’s liveability.About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Specialist Expertise: Deep and current understanding of governance and/ or integrity policies, processes, protocols, guidelines, standards and structures.
- People Management: Aligns the team with the organisational values and goals through effective people management and role-modelling, maximises effectiveness by selecting, developing, managing and motivating a high performing team.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Demonstrated experience in undertaking policy development and providing advice on government policies and legislative requirements.
