The Senior Professional Services Consultant – AppSec is an expert at Imperva’s application security products and the deployment of these products in project-based implementations. Above all else the Senior Professional Services Consultant will be a trusted advisor to our clients, who can engage closely with our customer to advise and implement. YOUR ROLEWorking from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, your role will include:
- Build strong, positive relationships with customers and internal teams to establish trusted advisor status.
- Ensures successful outcomes on assigned projects.
- Understand customer implementation and integration requirements
- Work to define application security target architecture and project delivery plans in alignment with customer technical requirements and best practices.
- Execute on the delivery plans and ensure that Imperva application security products and deployed and operating successfully.
- Perform hands-on configuration of the application security products to ensure correct setup.
- Perform any necessary troubleshooting for proper implementation using escalation resources.
- Create and support the creation of project deliverables and updates.
- Perform technical enablement for the customer and technical mentorship for peers.
- Advise and provide technical, best practice guidance on application security solutions and implementations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of local security trends and landscape, while also regularly upskilling to maintain technically relevancy on Imperva products, security best practices, and wider cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Provide a positive customer experience to drive the value of Imperva amongst our customers.
YOUR EXPERIENCETo be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Hands-on experience working on application security technologies (e.g. Web Application Firewalls, firewalls)
- Experience working on DevOps or DevSecOps technologies in a security context (e.g. Terraform, Python, Bash).
- Experience implementing, configuring and troubleshooting application infrastructure in a production environment.
- Experience working in a services-oriented, project environment with direct engagement with customers
- Able to confidently present in front of prospects (pre-sales) and clients (post-sales), with proven experience and examples.
- Self-starter and able to lead project delivery independently.
- Eager attitude with a thirst to constantly technically grow and upskill across multiple technical domains including mastering new software applications.
- Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly, succinctly, and accurately, both in writing and verbally
- Highly motivated, driven, and passionate about technology, training and customer success
- Experience working with security technologies from Imperva, F5, Cisco or similar (preferred) Cloud certification (Alicloud, Tencent, AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Alicloud, Tencent, AWS, Azure and VMware ESX
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, proxies, and firewalls
