Leanne.Roberts@homes.vic.gov.auPosition DetailsTHE ROLEThe Senior Policy and Project Officer is responsible for actively contributing to the development, design and implementation of new reform and changes to service delivery. This role will support the Unit’s work in ensuring the system and services deliver more flexible supports that are tailored to people’s needs and focus on preventing homelessness and sustaining housing and towards zero rough sleeping.The Senior Policy and Project Officer will undertake research, analysis, policy development and design work and will work effectively with stakeholders to gather information, insights, support and contribute to policy and project governance bodies. Collaborating with external homelessness agencies, colleagues within DFFH and across the Victorian Government is also a significant part of the role.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department’s records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department’s occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department’s ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
