What you will do:As a Consulting Manager / Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in GEP’s consulting and services practice. You’ll lead initiatives that create transformative procurement and supply chain strategies to solve complex client challenges across diverse industries and categories. Whether optimising processes, driving profitability, implementing digital transformation, or enhancing operational performance, your work will deliver meaningful impact for clients while contributing to GEP’s growth. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement strategies and transformation, excellent project management skills, and the ability to drive results in a client-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement:
- Lead and manage client engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality procurement and supply chain consulting services.
- Conduct opportunity assessments for new clients or new addressable areas for existing clients, including budgeting and sourcing plans that support overall savings target achievement.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on procurement and supply chain matters.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement procurement & category strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive procurement assessments and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Project Management:
- Oversee one or more projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Market Analysis and Insights:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies in procurement and supply chain management.
- Provide clients with insights and recommendations based on market analysis and best practices.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of the procurement consulting practice.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and other materials to support business development efforts.

What you should bring:Qualification:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 – 12+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related consulting roles.
- Proven experience in leading and managing procurement consulting projects that drive sustainable improvement
- Proven experience in managing and strategic sourcing for indirect categories such as IT, HR, MRO, Capex, Logistics and Professional services etc.
- Industry / Direct Category Experience
- Experience in the energy generation and distribution sector is highly desirable
- Experience in other industrial and asset intensive industries is desirable
- Experience in power generation in one or more of coal, wind, solar, gas turbine and / or hydro is desirable
- Experience in energy storage systems is desirable
- Experience in energy-related capital procurement and other industrial asset categories is desirable
- Skills:

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint) and Procurement Software such as SAP, Ariba or other ERP systems
