Job description: The position is responsible for:

  • Manage and lead the assessment of energy licence applications by undertaking critical analysis of the applicant’s technical capacity, financial viability and other legislative/regulatory considerations
  • Manage and lead the preparation and writing of complex briefing papers and recommendations for consideration by commissioners and other executives in relation to licence applications and other matters
  • Leading the planning, implementation and management of other strategic projects as required

  • Making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
  • Undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters.
  • Administering the Victorian Energy Upgrades program.
