We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager to lead our technology strategy, optimize IT infrastructure, and drive efficiency in data sharing and collaboration. Based in Melbourne, this role will oversee IT operations across multiple locations, including managing a small team in Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support & Operations: Oversee day-to-day IT support for Melbourne-based APS operations while guiding the Perth IT team to ensure seamless support across the East Coast.
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that promotes system standardization and data-sharing best practices across the organization.
- IT Review & Optimization: Conduct thorough assessments of current systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, cost efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
- Infrastructure Management: Optimize existing on-premises infrastructure while integrating suitable cloud solutions that enhance security and operational flexibility.
- Project Leadership: Support major business system implementations, including ERP systems, HR platforms, and operations management tools (Monday.com).
- Vendor & Outsourcing Management: Evaluate third-party IT support arrangements and explore cost-effective outsourcing options, including overseas solutions.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the IT team in Perth, fostering a solutions-focused culture and ensuring proactive support. Lead a team of two, taking a hands-on approach to IT management.
- Risk & Security Management: Implement robust IT security measures that balance compliance with business agility and collaboration needs.
- Financial Oversight: Control the P&L for technology, ensuring strategic budget management and cost-effectiveness.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a senior IT leader, ideally within a multi-site or multi-entity organization.
- Strong expertise in IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud) and system standardization.
- Demonstrated success in conducting IT audits and developing cost-effective strategies.
- Hands-on experience with business system integrations and IT project management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices, ensuring data protection without hindering business operations.
