Job description: Senior Commercial Interior Designer – Lead a New Design DivisionOur client is seeking a talented Commercial Interior Designer to join their team working across concurrent office fitout projects. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing functional and visually appealing workspaces, creating detailed floor plans, 3D visualizations, and finishes schedules that align with both client visions and industry standards.They are an established and expanding company within the furniture industry and looking for a commercial designer to spearhead the development of a new design division. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present creative design concepts that align with client expectations
  • Oversee and manage commercial fit-out projects from inception to completion
  • Engage directly with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions
  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a strong and collaborative team
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, workplace strategies, and materials to drive innovative designs

About You:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in interior design, with a focus on commercial office fit-outs ( corporate offices, co working spaces, etc )
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and workplace strategy
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your work in commercial spaces, including floor plans, renders, and finishes schedules
  • Expertise in finishes selection and specification for commercial interiors (e.g., flooring, wall coverings, furniture, lighting, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management abilities
  • Passionate about designing functional, inspiring, and high-quality workspaces
  • Own car and licence
  • Ability to travel interstate as required on a adhoc basis
