The Finance and Business Services team, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk & Assurance, Workplace Experience & Procurement, Investor Relations, Corporate Development and Corporate Communications.This cross-functional group of individuals who are the best in their fields, provide strategic commercial input and guidance around decisions across all levels of the business, while continually improving the ‘behind the scenes’ of REA to support our people, drive efficiencies and maximise customer satisfaction.What the role is all aboutThe Senior Commercial Analyst will be a key business partner supporting PropTrack, & and will also play an important role supporting Product & Audience more broadly from a financial planning & analysis perspective. They will be integral to month end results and provide analysis and insights with a view to maximizing commercial outcomes.Own month end financial close and resultsPrepare detailed revenue, cost and non-financial KPI analysis to identify insights and trends. Present the information and provide recommendations.Drive improvements in reporting for operational management, leadership and Board level audiencesBe a key driver of the budget, forecast and long-range planning processesModel new initiatives and work with the business to deliver financially viable strategiesCombine various market inputs to report on consolidated Product & Audience resultsExtract and analyse data from multiple systems to meet group reporting requirementsWork with the financial accounting team to provide insights for statutory reportingEstablish critical relationships and pro-actively partner with key stakeholdersEnsure relevant SOX and other compliance requirements are metFocus on process improvement, identifying opportunities and implementing solutionsIdentify and keep abreast of industry trends, identify implications and opportunities for REA.Who we’re looking forSomeone with a few runs on the board – experience within Big 4 or in an industry environment in a commercial capacityCA/CPA qualifiedAnalysis, modelling, budgeting and forecasting experienceAdvanced excel skillsStrong initiative; willingness to take ownershipExcellent analytical capabilities, numeracy skills and accountabilityLooks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lensDemonstrated commercial acumen and stakeholder managementThe REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
