Job description: Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Injury management Advisor to join a State Government Department based in Melbourne CBD for a full time temporary contract until the end of March 2025 with potential extension.The duties of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Provide professional and specialist advice to Business Partners, managers and staff in relation to all aspects of wellbeing, workers compensation, early intervention programs, return to work and injury management.
- Liaise with the Department’s workers compensation insurer in relation to claim management.
- Liaise and support management and supervisors on wellbeing issues and return to work of employees.
- Monitor injury management and workers compensation claims performance across the department
- Oversee WorkCover and non-WorkCover injury management plans, claims reviews and assessments ensuring there is documentation of the return-to-work process as per legislative requirements.
- Develop and promote injury management strategies that focus on early recovery and return to work
- Liaise with Workplace Relations Advisors and HR Business Partners on matters relating to fitness for work assessments and early intervention strategies.
To be suitable for this role you will have
- Previous experience in an Injury Management role
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Ability and willingness to travel and work across locations within metropolitan and regional Victoria.
