Job description: Our general insurance client is seeking a senior actuarial analyst with experience in personal lines pricing to join their team. This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.About the role

  • Performing rate reviews, rate modelling, and portfolio monitoring for assigned lines of business.
  • Assisting with growing the motor insurance business by presenting, and making pricing recommendations to local underwriting agencies and reinsurers.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders such as underwriting agencies, brokers, reinsurers, actuarial consultancies, external vendors, and internal functions.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience in general insurance, with a strong preference for local motor insurance pricing experience.
  • Must be pursuing actuarial exams or already an Associate of the Australian Actuarial institute, or other relevant body.
  • Advanced proficiency in various programming languages including SAS/SQL/R/Python/etc.
