Don’t hesitate to reach out to the Talent Acquisition Team ( ) for more information on KONE’s approach to flexible work.Our work will take you in different directions.We’re looking for a Sales Manager to join our High performing Service & Modernisation Sales team in Melbourne.In this position as the Sales Manager, you will set short term and long-term sales and customer relationships targets aligned with the unit’s overall sales targets.He/she leads the Sales and Account Management team and the Sales process to achieve the sales targets by coaching and developing the sales team.What will you be doing?Customer Relationship Management

  • Proactively develop customer relationships and have a connection with people in the business
  • Ensures development of customer relationships, profitability, customer loyalty & satisfaction
  • Approves and follows up customer plans for strategic customers in his/her area
  • Identifies and builds relationships to key decision makers, potential new targets and influencers
  • Develop and build the team’s skill set to ensure they are meeting sales targets and margins are within KONE guidelines
  • Overview complex tenders prior to submission
  • Lead a team of motivated and driven sales professionals
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to capitalise on all lead opportunities, orders and contracts
  • Ensure your team are meeting sales targets and ensure margins are within KONE guidelines
  • Build key relationships and drive alignment with internal stakeholders
  • Weekly/Monthly reporting and forecasting
  • Estimating, tendering and quoting small and large project submissions and actively following up

Leadership / People management

  • Leads and develops the competences of the sales team with a coaching mindset
  • Ensures adequate resources to achieve the short- and long-term targets
  • Develops the competences of the sales team
  • Selects /appoints local team members to manage the strategic customer relationships

What are we looking for?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in Construction or Property Industry is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated sales management experience, within a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders with Strong Communication skills
  • A resilient and persevering approach with high emotional intelligence
  • Valid Australian driver’s license
  • Ensures development of customer relationships, profitability, customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • A data driven mindset
  • Strong experience with reporting, forecasting and pricing
  • Demonstrated sales management experience, within a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Ensures development of customer relationships, profitability, customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Previous experience building a high performing sale culture
  • Highly motivated with ability to lead, engage and mentor a team – a people first mentality
