Job description: We are looking for a Rec & Set Consultant to join our Recoveries & Settlements Enablement Team in Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis.About the roleYou will be responsible for effectively managing a portfolio of Recovery and Settlements claims for all our consumer brands. Ensuring there are sufficient estimates on a claim, negotiating liability to maximize every recovery or settlement savings opportunity.The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer care contributing to our customer obsession whilst also contributing, innovating, and adapting your contribution in line with our best in class claims strategy.You will deliver exceptional customer care contributing to our customer obsession whilst also contributing, innovating and adapting your contribution in line with our best in class claims strategy.What you’ll do
- Contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of the team in order to meet organizational objectives by managing your time and productivity
- Effectively manage the recovery and settlement process for the allocated work
- Identify and maximise recovery opportunities
- Provide superior customer service in every interaction with customers
- Handle customer enquiries regarding existing insurance claims
- Handle and resolve complaints in a professional matter whilst striving, where possible, for a win/win outcome
- Contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of the team in order to meet organisational objectives by managing your time productivity
What you’ll bring
- At least 12-months experience withing a Customer Service environment, Insurance claims or similar
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong resilience and the ability to manage in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to analyse data and make appropriate timely decisions
- Work autonomously with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once interchangeably
- Ability to deal with conflict
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Confident communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to self-motivate and drive for targets
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities
- Demonstrated team player
- Understanding of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act, GI Code of Practice, road rules, liability determination and claims business processes.
