Job description: About the role:With an extensive portfolio of Defence/Government projects ramping up around Australia, Lendlease are currently hiring Project Security Officers across our long-term, large-scale construction projects in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Canberra, with future opportunities coming up in Perth, and the Northern Territory!In this role you will be responsible for managing & overseeing project security, whilst assisting the project team in ensuring that all works align with project and management system requirements. You will implement and monitor Lendlease processes and systems to capture and record security-specific knowledge for the project, which will then be shared with other stakeholders.This may include;Liaising with client security representatives, security consultants, and relevant authorities for inspections and correspondence.Assisting Construction Security Manager in ensuring Construction Security Plan is implemented and maintained throughout construction phase.Undertake regular physical inspections of construction site to ensure compliance with agreed design and security plan.Management of personnel access approvals, and permissions for Lendlease staff, consultants, and subcontractors.Conduct security briefings, inductions, and training for Lendlease project staff and contractors.Assisting in the development of policies and procedures to meet security requirements in conjunction with Construction Security Manager.Assisting project team with specific security requirements for tenders and assist team in reviewing tender packages to ensure security requirements are met.To be successful you will need:To be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.If required, have the ability to gain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.Strong written, and verbal communication skills as you will be communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including government and regulatory authorities.Understanding of Quality Assurance, Safety, and Compliance within a construction environment.Ability to facilitate meetings with clients, resolve issues, and report on matters relating to security compliance.Bring high-level attention to detail, and a meticulous, process driven approach.Applicants from Building Services, Quality Assurance, EHS, Project Surveillance, Rail, and Aviation sectors are highly encouraged to apply!About Lendlease:With a national delivery capability, combined with a sector-focused approach, Lendlease Construction provides innovative and industry-leading project management, design and construction services driven by detailed sector knowledge and experience.
