Job description: Project Manager (POS Implementation) – Retail/FMCG
Location: East Melbourne (4 days on-site)
Contract: 6 months initially (likely extension to 9-12 months.)About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of a Point of Sale (POS) system implementation within a leading retail/FMCG business. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in ensuring project milestones are met, schedules are maintained, and implementation runs smoothly across multiple locations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the team to support project delivery.
  • Oversee project schedules, ensuring deadlines and key milestones are met.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across multiple teams, including IT, operations, and retail.
  • Maintain project documentation, risk registers, and reporting.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and work proactively to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure effective communication between internal teams, vendors, and retail sites.
  • Support testing, training, and rollout activities for the new POS system.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 4-5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator (or Junior PM) within retail/FMCG.
  • Experience working on POS system implementations (highly desirable).
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and keep projects moving under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project) preferred.
