The Finance and Business Services Group, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk, Workplace & Procurement, Pricing, Customer Collections, Payments, Group Reporting, Corporate Comms, Corporate Development and Investor Relations.As a Pricing & Performance Analyst, you will work with our Residential Advertising line of business. Your mission is to help us reimagine the way we develop pricing strategy, commercial insights and performance reporting while supporting the day-to-day activities of the broader team.What the role is all aboutHelp develop multi-year strategic pricing plans that help achieve our financial targetsProvide recommendations & analysis on short-term tactical Product & Pricing initiatives to support the immediate business needsWork closely with the Product team to identify opportunities and risks associated with various mid-long-term product initiatives, and proactively develop optimisation or mitigation strategiesDevelop simple to understand but detailed commercial models to understand the likely business impacts associated with initiatives including customer impacts and financial impactsManipulate & analyse complex data from a variety of sources using a variety of tools & techniquesCollaborate with the Analytics, Product & Sales teams to understand our customer’s businesses, consumer’s needs and the marketplace; and use this knowledge in developing price points, pricing strategy & supporting go to marketWork alongside the Analytics team to lead the creation of dashboards for key product KPIsWork closely with the Commercial Finance team to understand financial impacts to understand financial trends and impacts of pricing analysis on performanceMaintain a working knowledge of other business products & pricing architecture to effectively identify & consider impacts of initiatives across the groupKeep abreast of digital product & pricing trends, identify implications and opportunities for REAWho we’re looking forGreat commercial acumenExcellent skills in Excel and financial modelingExperience within SQL, Big Query and Tableau is desirableA proven track record in developing and delivering commercial business outcomesFirst class communication – written, verbal and presenting skillsConfidence in both formal and informal settings with the ability to relate to individuals across all levelsA proactive and curious approach: a relationship builder who has strong influencing skillsThe ability to collaborate in a complex, fast paced businessThe REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
