With a strong reputation built over 25 years, they operate 60 ECEC services across Greater Melbourne, supporting over 6,000 children and their families. Committed to governance excellence and continuous improvement, they are undertaking a key project to enhance their policy and compliance framework to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.About The Role
As a Policy Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in assessing, refining, and developing a structured roadmap for policy and procedural improvements. Under the direction of the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will work closely with subject matter experts to ensure policies reflect industry standards and regulatory obligations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for governance, compliance, and policy development.Key ResponsibilitiesCatalogue and assess existing operational policies and procedures for compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.Identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvement using a structured risk assessment framework.Map key operational procedures to ensure alignment with functional roles and regulatory requirements.Develop a policy and procedure roadmap, including recommendations for updates, formats, and approval processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to implement streamlined processes and governance improvements.DesirablesExperience developing policy templates and governance documentation.Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the ECEC sector.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess policies and procedures effectively.Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.High attention to detail with a structured and proactive approach to project management.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in policy development, compliance, or governance within a regulated environment.Experience in process mapping, risk assessment, and procedural improvement.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as law, policy, governance, or a related discipline (highly regarded).This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital project that will have a lasting impact on the organisation’s governance and compliance landscape.
