As part of the team you will design and deliver compelling customer-centric solutions focused on improving the financial wellbeing of ANZ’s retail and commercial customers.If you’re passionate about doing the best thing for our customers, simplifying products and services and using the latest technology to help our customers manage their money, buy and own homes and start and run businesses, then we’d love to hear from you.As a Software Engineer working within Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for building and evolving our offering with software design, coding and configuration. You will have the opportunity write code to provision, abstract complexity and provide automation across a wide range of technology including IaC, cloud services, Kubernetes, service mesh, CICD and observability tooling. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for abstracting the complexities of the cloud, so that application features can move from development to production in a seamless, secure and fully automated manner. - Improving the developer experience for hundreds of engineers with a laser focus on automation and abstraction and a passion to ‘shift left’.
- Driving change through your enthusiasm for the adoption of cloud native architecture in engineering teams.
- Being a strong advocate for devops culture who provides software solutions to enable all deployments, no matter how nuanced, to be fully automated
- Being an enabler at heart who takes pride in saving your fellow engineers time and toil every day with the software you ship.
- Shaping how ANZ delivers on its commitment to provide great customer service through technology.
What will you bring?
- Exceptional record of delivering observable cloud solutions from inception to production, working hands-on throughout the process.
- Knowledgeable in multiple programming languages with a passion to automate as much as possible. Golang, Python and Java are preferred
- Multiple years of software engineering experience with exposure to IaC codebases
- Knowledgeable in templating approaches/technologies that can be leveraged to manage large surface areas of configuration
- Experience with provisioning tooling (APMs, CICD, Observability, Log aggregators etc) using code and pipelines in cloud environments
- Operational experience with development or the administration of Istio, Kubernetes or Serverless frameworks
