The OrganisationOur client is an S&P/ASX 300 listed business across the civil engineering space. They are on the lookout for a Payroll Lead to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Group Payroll Manager in the delivery of effective and efficient payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the payroll team, including the management of the payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure that the team demonstrates a strong customer service focus; responding to pay queries in a timely manner and possessing the capability and expertise to achieve high quality service.
  • Responsible for year-end preparation and reporting.
  • Lead all EBA/Award changes with strict adherence to timing and accuracy.
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll.
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll operations.
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and generate reporting as required.
  • Ensure integrity of payroll data and system.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll or Team Lead position with the ability to calculate complex backpays and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a large volume of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) and Awards.
  • While not essential, Chris21 or iChris experience would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrated prior experience processing year end reporting and generating income Statements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
