About the RoleYou will provide crucial clerical support and facilitate patient management for clinical areas, including admitting patients completing reception duties and delivering exceptional customer service. A key component of the role is ensuring patient confidentiality is preserved at all times.
- Create patient records and complete all necessary information accurately and in line with current procedures
- Admit patients accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a high level of customer service by handling patient enquires via telephone and in person, in an efficient, professional and caring manner
- Arrange appointments for patients as requested by clinical staff
The classification for this position will be HS1 – HS17 ($58,442 – $64,610 per annum pro rata)Your Contribution
- Previous administration experience in a health setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of private health fund billing and public health funding
- Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
