We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services. The General Services Department at Casey requires a qualified Patient Services Assistant to work as a PM Floater in our dynamic and passionate team.Patient Services Assistant – PM FloaterWednesday – Friday 17.30 – 22.30(30 hours per fortnight)About the RoleThe ideal candidate will enjoy working within a committed team who strive to consistently deliver high quality and efficient cleaning services.

  • Ward and department cleaning
  • Bed making
  • Use of lifting equipment, bed mover and wheelchairs
  • Assisting nursing staff as requested
  • Transfer and cleaning of ward equipment

About YouTo ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
  • Previous experience as a Patient Services Assistant (Desirable)
  • Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
  • Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
  • Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
  • A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
