About the OrganisationThis diversified development and building organisation have a secure pipeline of new projects, being delivered on land holdings that they own. With an innovative and unique approach to residential housing construction, they are dedicated to delivering high quality homes to their customers. With a significant portfolio of projects being currently delivered and others in planning they require additional administrative support to manage the successful completion of these homes.About the RoleThe Accounts and Administration Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Construction Manager in the day-to-day administration of construction projects. This will initially be on two significant projects, the first being 12 apartments and 7 retail tenancies, delivered in 3 stages. You will be responsible for managing project documentation, supporting financial administration, coordinating communication across teams, and providing on-site support.The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Given the need to travel between multiple sites, a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.Duties

  • Support the Construction Manager in the day-to-day administration of construction projects, ensuring smooth progress and timely completion of tasks across multiple stages.
  • Maintain and organise all project-related documentation (contracts, drawings, correspondence) to ensure it is easily accessible and updated.
  • Review and verify invoices, manage vendor payments, maintain accurate financial records, and handle vendor communications regarding payments and discrepancies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Construction Manager, site teams, and subcontractors, providing regular progress updates and managing project timelines.
  • Provide on-site administrative support across multiple construction locations, coordinating with trades and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and updates to teams.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with accounts payable.
  • Experience in the construction industry or a good understanding of construction processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively across different project sites.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively liaise between various stakeholder groups.

Additional info

  • Required to travel between multiple sites on a weekly basis.
  • A valid Australian Drivers licence and own car is essential for this role.
  • Start date of February 2025.
