You will partner with our Product teams (including NPC) to ensure that Markets & Treasury operational booking models meet the requirements of our Group Financial Policies and frameworks, as well as assist in the development of overarching monitoring controls around our external reporting processes. Additionally, you will assist the broader team in the financial reporting and monitoring of financial outcomes for Markets & Treasury owned entities, including structured corporate finance entities as well as Treasury Management Securitisation Vehicles. Work Hours: Full timeWhat will your day look like?As an M&T Hedge Analytics Specialist, you will:
- Work closely with wider Financial Control, Risk and Business Governance communities ensuring emerging risks are known and well managed
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and key stakeholders while maintaining independent views
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation and regulations (Statutory and Regulatory), group accounting policies
- Challenge the status quo of booking methodologies as the financial environments change
- Collaborate across team and ANZ creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, actively de-mystifying Markets
- Monitor and implement controls designed to validate our external disclosures
- Commercially apply accounting standards, both locally and internationally
What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
An understanding and experience in Financial Reporting and Policy interpretation and implementation, well versed in regulatory reporting requirements.
Know your way around a trial balance, and work in Statutory Reporting or Group Financial Policy
An understanding of the Markets & Treasury operating environment and you are genuinely interested in the business structure and products, and have a desire to keep up to date on issues impacting the industry.
Experience in complex financial analysis and provision of advice, insight, and early warning on environmental issues
Experience in derivative pricing, hedging or complex markets financial structuring highly regarded
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Commerce and a CA/CPA qualifiedYou’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
