Come on in and check them out!Job DescriptionMercure Melbourne Doncaster is currently seeking an energetic, customer focused and experienced Maintenance Handyperson. Working closely with the Guest Services, Housekeeping and Reception teams, you will be responsible to ensure well maintained rooms and public areas. The ability to work on weekends is a must, locality andKnowledge and Experience· Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance including but not limited to;PlumbingPlaster RepairsPaintingCleaningTilingAir Conditioning MaintenaceMechanicalComputerized SystemsPrevious experience working in hotel / resort / hospitality settings is preferred.Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools.· Basic computer skills.· Good levels of written and spoken English.Qualifications· Qualifications in a Trade is preferred.·Competencies· Must be physically fit to perform his/her duties with no serious illness.· Service oriented with an eye for detail.· Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures.· Ability to work independently or in a Team· Demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.· Self-motivated and energetic.· Ability to work a variety of shifts.· Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.· Time management skills with the ability to multitask.· Strong personal integrity.· Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition and high level of energy.· Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members.· Health and SafetyAdditional InformationThe Mercure brand is part of the Accor Group.
