Job description: Job Description:Full Time, Fixed Term Grade 1 Scientist (Maternity Leave Position)Friendly and dynamic teamWork for one of Australia’s leading hospital groupsAbout the RoleAn opportunity currently exists for a Grade 1 Scientist to join the Neurophysiology team on a full-time basis for fixed term.The Grade 1 Medical Scientist is responsible for the organisation of investigations, equipment, and Trainee scientific staff members in the Neurophysiology department. This role is responsible for the clinical testing of inpatients and outpatients at St. Vincent’s Hospital and is expected to be involved with research projects related to the Neurophysiology department and carrying out general administration duties.Duties include:Clinical testing of in and outpatients:EEG’s;Evoked potentials;Small fibre testing including QSART;Video EEG Monitoring;assisting with NCS/EMG;On-call duties and maintaining data for clinical and finance recordsClassifications for this position will range from RX1 – RX7 ($62,426 – $89.986 per annum).Your contributionGraduate Medical or Psychophysiology SciencePreferably experience in performing all diagnostic testing including: EEG’s, Evoked potentials; VEM.
