mark.melrose@dffh.vic.gov.au 9500 7313Position DetailsTHE ROLEThe Manager, Executive Response and Coordination is a member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary and is responsible for operational division-wide strategic project delivery and actively supports the Deputy Secretary in responding to emerging issues and ensuring the divisional secretariat runs efficiently and effectively and responds to all correspondence and requests in a timely and appropriate manner.The Manager, Executive Response and Coordination is responsible for managing and responding to highly sensitive matters and managing relationships that protect and enhance the reputation of the department. This is achieved by:
- coordinating and managing responses to enquiries.
- providing internal consultancy to members of the divisional executive.
- undertaking whole-of-division projects in areas of specific importance relating to communications.
- managing processes to ensure the division meets its performance on the completion of ministerial correspondence and briefings.
The position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the department and ministerial offices.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, briefs, and submissions on complex policy and operational issues as well as prepare regular and ad hoc reports and correspondence.
- Prepare and present high-level communication material and provide authoritative and strategic advice relating to operational issues and undertake projects to improve business processes.
- Actively facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across the division and department to coordinate critical projects (including organisational change strategies where required).
