Job description: We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Junior Field Service Technician to join our team. This field-based role involves working at customer sites across Melbourne, focusing on laboratory testing, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.While a background in science, engineering, or similar fields is beneficial, it is not required. What matters most is your positive attitude, willingness to learn, and mechanical aptitude.Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and accurately record results.
- Manage chemical inventory, including stock checks and placing orders.
- Conduct equipment checks, perform basic maintenance, and recalibrate or reprogram as needed.
- Ensure chemical dosing equipment is operational, clean, and functioning correctly.
- Identify and resolve any faults, leaks, or equipment issues on-site.
- Provide detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
- Support new and existing programs to meet customer performance goals.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and internal teams.
The CandidateTo excel in this role, you will need:
- A valid Australian driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
- Experience in chemical handling or field-based work is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform hands-on tasks.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required.
