Job description: Job DescriptionIntegration and Separation SpecialistsKPMG’s Integration and Separation team works with clients at different stages of the transaction lifecycle to help ensure deal objectives and value targets are met in a timely manner, with minimal disruption to businessWe bridge the advisory relationship from pre-deal to post-deal execution, spanning from the identification and quantification of value in the transaction, through to design and mobilisation of the integration program, and management of execution in the post-completion period. We assist with all integration functional workstreams including finance, IT, HR, procurement, supply chain, sales, etc.Our key engagements entail some or all of the following:
- Synergy evaluation: Quantification of the potential cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities arising from a transaction, with an understanding of the costs, risks and timing of benefits.
- Pre-completion planning: Preparation for transaction completion, support for design of integration program, development of post-deal operating model, establishment of a governance structure and mobilisation of workstreams.
- Day 1 readiness: Detailed day 1 plans for operational control, stabilisation of the business and stakeholder communications.
- 100 Day Planning: Support for the Integration Management Office, focusing on delivery of communication, value creation opportunities and evaluation of the operating model change required.
- Separation planning: determining the true stand-alone costs of the business and the associated one-off costs
- Operational separation: Identifying key dependencies during separation planning, including identifying the functions/services the target is currently reliant on the parent for, and plans for how these can be replaced post separation
- TSA development: defining and valuing the ongoing relationship between the vendor’s business and the target, including helping identify services/arrangements that need to continue post separation.
Your OpportunityOur Integration and Separation team in Melbourne & Sydney is growing. In this role you will play a key part in the team by:
- Support the day-to-day engagement execution of the deal lifecycle, from pre-announcement to implementation including deal strategy, synergy identification and assessment, integration planning, carve out support and benefits realisation.
- Work with senior team members and high-profile clients on interesting, challenging, and diverse deals, working on deliverables and learning the transaction lifecycle.
- Support project management ensuring satisfactory engagement financial outcomes (revenue and profitability targets)
- Contribute to the development of business development opportunities to support the generation of additional work for KPMG

- Strong people interaction & communication skills, presentation and business writing ability
