As a Food Service Assistant with our agency, you will have the opportunity to work casual shifts at various hospitals and aged care facilities throughout Melbourne and Geelong, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience of patients and residents. Your duties will involve assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, plating, and serving of meals to patients and residents.
- Ensure that meals are delivered in a timely manner and meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of dining areas, including dishwashing and sanitization.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient and resident inquiries and needs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless meal service.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to interacting with patients and residents.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Flexibility to travel to and work at various facilities.
- Willingness to accept shifts on short notice.
Essential Requirements:
- National Police Check
- Up-to-date Influenza Vaccination
- 3 COVID Vaccinations
- Basic Food Handlers Certificate
