Our finance team has undergone a restructure to help modernise our process and ways of working. This role is tasked with taking a senior lead on Financial Reporting Accounting with a change mindset. Offering ideas and innovations to leaders on how we can do things more efficiently. You will be responsible for;
- preparation of accurate and reliable reporting throughout the month. This includes but not limited to; journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, invoicing, daily, weekly and monthly reporting, updating forecasts as required and budgets in line with the Financial Reporting Managers direction.
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and correct where required
- Delivering the month end close process ensuring journals are processed accurately and timely and P&L reviewed in line with the month end timetable.
- Assist and preparation of accurate monthly results against budget to review in conjunction with finance business partners.
- Deliver and/or review stock counts where required, ensuring variances are investigated and remediated accordingly. This will include performing spot checks.
About youWe are looking for an experienced Accountant that has had exposure to a complex organisation. You will bring a passion for process improvement and be able to engage leaders and stakeholders on your ideas. You will also have;
- Relevant Business Accounting degree (or similar)
- Achieved an accounting qualification (i.e. CPA, CA equivalent).
- Project management experience is advantageous
- Extensive relevant, practical and technical accounting experience.
- Ability to use financial and reporting software and other technology to automate financial tasks to drive efficiencies
- Ability to process, interpret and analyse financial data and information with high attention to detail
