About the Role
The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in collaborating with senior leaders within complex divisions to support the achievement of strategic and operational goals. This position involves managing financial performance, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and providing valuable financial insights to aid decision-making and drive business success.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted financial advisor, ensuring efficient resource allocation in support of strategic and operational goals.
  • Monitoring, analysing, and assessing financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities, and recommending actions when necessary.
  • Providing financial analysis, responding to queries, and supporting divisional leadership in developing new initiatives.
  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including financial reporting and data analysis.

Who we are looking for
You will have a keen attention to detail, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced environments. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present clear, concise outputs from detailed financial analysis, and possess strong time management skills, prioritising and delivering tasks efficiently while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.You will also have:

  • Full qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting, in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to use data visualisation and storytelling techniques to simplify complex data and findings into meaningful insights.

This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
