About the role and your responsibilities:As the Finance Analyst, your primary focus is to provide advice and direction to stakeholders and management on a range of complex corporate financial management services, including analysis, interpretation and recommendations on budget management, forward financial planning and prioritisation of funds, financial compliance and performance, trends and emerging issues. You will provide professional leadership to drive the successful initiation, planning and delivery closure in financial operations, through the development of business plans and service delivery options.In this role you will also initiate research and analysis on the effectiveness and efficiency of specific financial issues, initiatives and practices and prepare relevant reports, recommendations and implementation strategies as required. You will participate in and promote the development, implementation and monitoring of effective financial services initiatives which support key program delivery in accordance with appropriate accounting standards and frameworks, including government reporting requirements, policies and financial systems.To be successful for this role you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce, finance, accounting or economics is essential.
- CPA or CA (or working towards this qualification) is highly desired.
- Demonstrated high level experience in the development and implementation of financial strategies, planning, developing and managing service delivery.
- Expert analytical and financial modelling capability, including NPV, scenario testing, pricing, product costing and margin analysis, customer usage/volume analysis etc.
