We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.Full Time (12 months) – commencing February 2026Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the role of Medical Oncology Fellow. This role has the key responsibility for co-ordinating the management of oncology patients eligible for or enrolled on clinical trials within the Oncology Unit of the Alfred Hospital. This includes overseeing trial patients, their treatments and protocol-specified reviews. Potential patients will be assessed for suitability and consented if appropriate in daily outpatient clinics. The role may include supervision of junior medical staff. The fellow will be expected to attend 5 outpatient clinics per week, including participation in rural clinics, as well as multidisciplinary meetings and weekly unit meetings, and contribute to the after-hours on-call roster, including weekends. Engagement of research projects during the placement will be expected.
