Their projects aim to significantly contribute to Australia’s clean energy future, and they are looking for a passionate and experienced Environmental Planning & Approvals Manager to join their dynamic team.Job Description: As the Environmental Planning & Approvals Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and securing the necessary environmental and regulatory approvals for our client’s offshore wind farm projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the projects comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations, and for developing strategies to mitigate environmental impacts.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the environmental planning and approvals process for offshore wind farm projects.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and local communities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance and sustainability metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental legislation and policy.
  • Advocate for best practices in environmental sustainability and impact mitigation.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental planning and approvals, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian environmental laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record in managing complex environmental approval processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about renewable energy and sustainability.
