We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.About the roleWe are seeking an analytical and commercially minded Energy Analyst to support the development and implementation of national pricing strategy across our retail business. This role will be responsible for updating and quantifying changes in key cost elements, analysing complex data sets, providing insights into competitor and customer behaviours, and utilising and maintaining commercial pricing tools to implement price changes and market offers.Why you’ll love working hereWe’re a welcoming bunch who put our energy into being the best company we can be.   • Provide analytical support and insights to stakeholders across the business
  • Maintain commercial dashboard reports showing market trends and performance metrics whilst identifying opportunities for pricing and product improvements
  • Conduct detailed analysis on market changes related to costs, competitors, legislation and policy, and provide financial modelling to support strategic pricing decisions and margin optimisation
  • Utilise and maintain commercial pricing tools to prepare pricing changes across the national customer base

Your experience

  • Degree qualification in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or another numeric discipline coupled with a strong understanding of accounting, finance, and legal principles
  • Demonstrated experience handling large data sets in Excel (or equivalent) with strong analytical skills
  • Proven experience in business case evaluations, with strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools (Advanced Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Tableau, Python) would be highly advantageous
