Robert Half are exclusively partnering with a reputable organisation within Victoria’s public sector who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join their Finance Senior Leadership team.This pivotal role will empower you to shape the financial decision-making landscape across the group. You will lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring the delivery of expert financial analysis and advice that supports sustainable, multi-year fiscal planning.As the Director of FP&A, you will:
- Establish and lead a robust framework for monitoring and reporting financial performance and savings initiatives.
- Drive efficiency improvements and embed a culture of fiscal responsibility across multi-year planning horizons.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and concise financial reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide expert advice on financial sustainability to senior executives and stakeholders.
- Develop targeted programs to enhance financial management capabilities and informed decision-making.
- Cultivate a high-performance finance culture emphasizing customer service, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Act as a key advisor to the CFO and deputize during periods of leave or as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Finance teams responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and business partnering.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while enhancing internal controls and compliance.
- Facilitate strategic and operational alignment of financial objectives across the Group.
Your Profile
- Specialist Expertise: Proven experience in financial management, government policies, and financial reporting within complex environments.
- Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality financial insights, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
- Strategic Leadership: Proven track record in leading strategic planning and risk management initiatives.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to provide clear and concise advice, both written and verbal, to diverse stakeholders.
- Cultural Leadership: Commitment to fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing finance team.
- Postgraduate qualifications in finance, commerce, or accounting.
- Accreditation with a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ).
- Extensive senior leadership experience in financial planning, analysis, and management within organizations of similar scale and complexity.
- Knowledge of Victorian Public Sector financial frameworks is desirable.
