Reporting to the Regional Senior Communications Director based in France, the Communications Manager will support the Regional Senior Vice President and key regional leadership teams across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. You will be pivotal in developing and executing internal and external communication strategies that align with Wabtec’s transformation journey and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications and Events:
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of regional operations.
- Plan and execute regional events, including employee meetings, tradeshows, and community engagements.
- Develop and manage communication plans in alignment with company strategies.
- Produce compelling content such as news articles, presentations, videos, and speeches.
- Partner with Employee Resource Groups to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
External Communications and Branding:
- Support regional leaders in crafting and executing an employer branding strategy.
- Develop content for external platforms, including LinkedIn, in collaboration with the corporate media team.
- Coordinate logistics and communication strategies for industry events and tradeshows.
- Drive Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, aligning with sustainability goals.
ABOUT YOU:
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate communications within a product-based environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience navigating complex organisational structures within a matrix setup.
- Strong storytelling, project management, and relationship-building skills.
- Background in Manufacturing, Rail, or Transport industries is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with video editing and content management systems is a plus.
- Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
