Spread over 5 levels and covering 1,585 sqm, the club features a cardio and weights zone, furnished with top-of-the-line equipment, and five custom built studios for Grid Training (HIIT), Reformer Pilates, Yoga, Cycle and Boxing. Beyond fitness, you’ll find a sprawling café with bright windows and plenty of power ports, the perfect switch for your regular work desk.The gig:Reporting to the Club General Manager, you’ll deliver both a preventative and reactive maintenance schedule safely, on time and within budget. You’ll be the go-to handyperson for all things maintenance for our world class club facilities.In a nutshell:

  • You’ll put together a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule including the building shell, fixtures and fittings and surrounding grounds (and support to the Fitness Manager for fitness equipment repairs/breakdowns).
  • You’ll oversee the completion of minor repairs and reactive maintenance ensuring all is tracked (with accountability for the repairs and maintenance budget).
  • You’ll refer to contract agreements in place and oversee the allocation of work to these partners, ensuring service level agreements are maintained.
  • You’ll manage contractors to ensure they achieve agreed outcomes and operate safely.
  • You’ll ensure electrical compliance and complete emergency lighting discharge and PAT testing.
  • You’ll regularly report maintenance updates via checklists along with capex projections.
  • You’ll advocate safety and ensure an overall safe environment for members and team members.
  • You’ll perform opening and closing procedures and first aid officer duties when required.
  • You’ll raise awareness about the club’s carbon footprint and provide solutions to reduce utility consumption across electricity, gas, water and waste.
  • You’ll raise with the HOD (‘Head of Dept’) team to assess, monitor and improve building services and support the team where possible.

All about you:

  • You have 2+ years of relevant facility property maintenance including HVAC experience and your first aid. You may also have a relevant trade qual (electrical or air con and refrigeration) and can readily obtain a Pool Operators certificate (if required). A+ for you.
  • You have aligned experience. You’re multi-skilled and have good knowledge of building services and regulatory compliance across facilities. You take pride in the presentation of your property and love thinking up new ways to reduce energy consumption. You’re comfortable managing budgets and thrive on exceeding performance targets.
  • You are people-focused. You get a kick out of ensuring facilities are always fully functional which makes people go wow! You’re patient, level-headed and cool under pressure. Delivering best practice building services makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
  • You are self-assured. You listen intently. You speak eloquently. You can explain the nuts and bolts of building services maintenance to anyone and you’re comfortable communicating at all levels. You’re authentic when you express yourself. People trust you.
  • You are driven. You’re perceptive, you ask questions and you strive to understand. You enjoy solving problems. You don’t get flustered easily. You’re comfortable managing your time and can be counted on to successfully deliver solutions.
