The PositionIn this newly created role as a Senior Occupational Therapist OR Senior Speech Pathologist will utilise both clinical and leadership skills. With a small clinical caseload you will utilise your previous experience in assessments and observations and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will have the opportunity to work from the clinic or be community based depending on where you are located.As an experienced Allied Health practitioner, you will draw upon your skills and experience and be responsible for the:
- Collaboration with other allied health practitioners within the team
- Monitoring and reporting on participant progress
- Maintaining documentation and systems to ensure the wellbeing of participants supported
- Provision of leadership, clinical supervision, professional development and mentoring to your team members
- Support of the Allied Health Manager
- Provision of training for group supervision and presenting workshops for families and stakeholders
- Assisting with placement of student placements and organising internal professional development events
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Relevant qualifications as an OT or Speech Pathologist and Registration with APHRA
- 3 + years of experience and with Autism experience
- NDIS background and experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Experience in working with autistic people in a strengths-based, neurodiversity affirming way
- Valid Drivers License; NDIS Commission Worker Screening check
- Working with Children Check
- Be values driven and passionate about working with and supporting people with autism to live life well
- Empathy, ability to build trust, have outstanding communication skills and be a strong team player
